UPL Centurion Herbicide is a selective, post-emergent systemic herbicide formulated with Clethodim 24% EC. It is designed to control a broad spectrum of annual and perennial grasses in various crops, including soybean, maize, and other broadleaf crops. Centurion works by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is essential for fatty acid synthesis in grasses, leading to the cessation of growth and eventual death of the weed. ​

Usage Guidelines

• Recommended Crops: Soybean, maize, and other broadleaf crops.

• Dosage: 0.75–1.0 litres per hectare, depending on weed species and infestation level.

• Application Timing: Apply post-emergence when target grasses are actively growing and at the 2–6 leaf stage.

• Method: Use a foliar spray, ensuring thorough coverage of the weed foliage.

• Rainfast Period: Avoid application if rain is expected within 4 hours to ensure efficacy.

• Precautions:

  • Do not apply near water bodies to prevent harm to aquatic organisms.

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during mixing and application.

  • Avoid drift onto non-target crops or areas.
