Bayer Council Activ is a post-emergent herbicide containing Triafamone 20% and Ethoxysulfuron 10% WG. It offers broad-spectrum control of grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds in rice crops, ensuring enhanced productivity and reduced labor costs.
Council Activ operates through a dual mode of action:
Triafamone: Absorbed by weed leaves and roots, it is metabolized into an intermediate form that inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, crucial for amino acid synthesis in weeds.
Ethoxysulfuron: Primarily taken up by weed leaves, it translocates within the plant and also inhibits the ALS enzyme, leading to effective weed control.
This combination ensures comprehensive control of various weed species while maintaining crop safety.
Broad-Spectrum Control: Effectively targets major grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds.
Long-Lasting Residual Activity: Provides extended protection, reducing the need for multiple applications.
Quick Action: Begins eliminating weeds effectively after a single use.
Crop Safety: Selective action ensures rice crops remain unharmed.
Labor and Time Efficient: Reduces manual weeding efforts, saving time and labor costs.
Dosage: 90 grams per acre.
Application Timing: 10 to 15 days after planting or at the 2 to 4 leaf stage of weeds.
Application Method: Foliar spray.
Water Management: Drain water completely from the field before spraying. Ensure the soil has adequate moisture during application and maintain moisture for the next 10 days after spraying.
