Mode of Action

Dhanuka M-45 functions as a protective fungicide. Upon exposure to air, it converts to an isothiocyanate, which inactivates the sulphahydral (SH) groups in fungal enzymes. This disruption hampers the fungi’s energy production and metabolic processes, leading to their death. Additionally, the exchange of metals between mancozeb and fungal enzymes further disturbs fungal enzyme functioning.
