Indofil Pixo Maxima is a post-emergence herbicide developed by Indofil Industries Limited, designed to provide broad-spectrum control of both broadleaf and grassy weeds. It combines two active ingredients:
Pyrithiobac Sodium (6%): An ALS (acetolactate synthase) inhibitor that disrupts amino acid synthesis, leading to stunted growth and death of broadleaf weeds.
Quizalofop Ethyl (4%): An ACCase (acetyl-CoA carboxylase) inhibitor that impairs fatty acid synthesis, effectively controlling grassy weeds.
Dual Mode of Action: Targets both broadleaf and grassy weeds by inhibiting essential enzymes in their growth pathways.
Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Effective against a wide range of weeds, including Trianthema spp., Digera spp., Celosia argentea, Dinebra retroflexa, and Digitaria marginata.
Residual Control: Provides long-lasting weed suppression, reducing the need for multiple applications.
Crop Safety: Selective action ensures safety for crops like cotton when applied as recommended.
Recommended Crops: Primarily used in cotton cultivation.
Dosage: Apply 1000–1250 ml per hectare.
Water Volume: Use 500 liters of water per hectare for uniform coverage.
Timing: Apply during the 2–4 leaf stage of weeds for optimal efficacy.
Method: Foliar spray ensuring thorough coverage of the target weeds.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during handling and application.
Avoid application during high temperatures or windy conditions to prevent drift.
Do not apply near water bodies to prevent contamination.
Dispose of empty containers and unused product responsibly, following local regulations.
