PI Keefun is a modern broad-spectrum insecticide formulated as a 15% emulsifiable concentrate (EC) containing Tolfenpyrad. It controls a wide range of sucking and chewing pests across various crops like vegetables, fruits, and field crops. Keefun works by inhibiting mitochondrial electron transport in pests, leading to rapid pest mortality and reduced feeding damage. It is effective in managing resistant pest populations and is useful in integrated pest management programs.

Keefun operates as a Mitochondrial Electron Transport Inhibitor (METI). It disrupts the electron transport chain in the mitochondria of pest cells, halting energy production and leading to pest mortality. This mechanism affects various developmental stages, including eggs, larvae, nymphs, and adults. Additionally, Keefun exhibits anti-feeding action, causing pests to cease feeding shortly after exposure.
Dosage: 2 mL per liter of water (approximately 400 mL per acre)
Method: Foliar spray
Frequency: Apply as needed based on pest incidence or severity of disease
Compatibility: Compatible with sticking agents
Broad-Spectrum Activity: Effective against a wide range of sucking and chewing pests, as well as some fungal diseases.
Unique Mode of Action: Due to its distinct mode of action, Keefun is effective against pests resistant to other insecticides, making it a valuable tool for Integrated Resistance Management (IRM).
Fast Action: Provides quick knockdown of target pests, leading to healthier crops.
Reduced Resistance Development: Helps in delaying resistance development by rotating with other insecticides.
