Evicent is a broad-spectrum insecticide developed by Syngenta India Ltd., formulated to control lepidopteran pests across various crops. It combines two active ingredients: Emamectin Benzoate (5% w/w) and Lufenuron (40% w/w), offering a dual mode of action that ensures rapid and long-lasting pest control.

Dual Mode of Action: Emamectin Benzoate acts on the nervous system of insects, causing paralysis, while Lufenuron inhibits chitin synthesis, preventing larvae from molting. This combination ensures effective control of pests at multiple life stages.
Rapid Action: Target pests cease feeding within 1–2 hours of application and typically die within 12–24 hours.
Transovarial Activity: Evicent affects all life stages of the insect pest, including eggs and adults, rendering them sterile and ensuring long-duration control.
